Our client an Independent Lloyd’s Broker specialising in North American risks, has an opening for an individual with a grounding within the Lloyd’s Broker market, seeking their next career move. Ideally you will have been exposed to US Property Risks, but all other Non Marine backgrounds would also very much be of interest. Specific duties to include:
• Handling incoming risk enquiries.
• Developing underwriting skills by working with the in-house underwriter
• Broking business to insurers for consideration on both line slip and pure open market basis, as well as to the in-house underwriter(s).
• Creating and distributing data in connection with the placement and marketing of in-house Binding Authorities.
• Maintenance of risk data as required.
Training can be provided to candidates who have operated in the Lloyd’s Market previously, yet not specifically this area.
This role forms part of a small team, reporting directly to the Assistant Director and will therefore provide plenty of learning opportunities. This role would suit an individual with a friendly and willing nature, coupled with enthusiasm and a collaborative attitude.
