Teaching Personnel are recruiting for a full time SEN Classroom Support Assistant in Hull. The successful applicant will liaise with teaching staff to provide support to individual and targeted pupils to raise achievement and enable them to overcome barriers to learning. They should also have an understanding of ADHD and ASD and the support and care needed to enable children to learn. This is a temporary post starting as soon as possible.
This position is full time. Funding permitting, the post could be extended/turned into a school contract.
Responsibilities
* Under the general supervision and direction of the teacher to implement structured learning activities for individuals and groups of pupils
* To undertake activities in order to monitor the personal social and emotional needs of pupils
* To develop positive relationships with pupils to promote pupil progress and attainment
* To assist in the devising of pupil's individual targets and their monitoring and review
* Support pupils as part of a planned inclusion programme.To assist in the development of varying skills that support pupils' learning
* To assist in the specific medical/care needs of pupils when specific training has been undertaken

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
