Teaching Personnel have ad-hoc SEN SEMH TA and behaviour mentor roles available in and around Huddersfield and surrounding areas, where you can decide or just let us know if you want to work on the day! You will have your own online diary where you log in and update your availability so you can let us know what days, mornings or afternoons you can work around your degree!
Becoming an SEN teaching assistant is fantastic for building experience working with children, whilst still completing your degree. As well as gaining SEN experience, it is also a great way of securing a permanent position once your studies are completed.
Minumum Requirements:
* Must have right to work in the UK and have been in the country for six months or longer
* Any relevant Overseas Criminal Clearance from countries with a stay of over six months
* An enhanced DBS check on the update service (or willing to apply for one)
* Ability to travel to and from schools in your local area
Previous classroom experience isn't required, however it is essential that these candidates have previous experience with at least one of the following either professionally or personally:
* Learning Difficulties Experience
* Behavioural Difficulties
* Care work
* Mentoring
* Psychology
* Youth/Community work experience
