KS2 SLCN Teaching Assistant - Rochdale (OL11)

Teaching Personnel are proudly working with a Rochdale-based primary school (OL11) in search for an experienced 1:1 Teaching Assistant to work with a child with Speech Language Cognitive Needs (SLCN). Experience with SLCN is not required but candidates with such experience are encouraged to apply. The senior leadership of this primary school are willing to consider any committed and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant with experience working with Key Stage Two children.

* Rochdale-based primary school with great transport links and on-site parking

This role will be full-time Monday to Friday, spanning the approximate hours 8:30am to 4:30pm. The school is also offering extra pay if the successful TA stays on the support after-school clubs and extra-curricular activities. Otherwise, the TA will earn approximately �70 per day on weekly PAYE. Senior leadership will consider increasing this dependent on experience and travel time. The TA will be required to apply and register through Teaching Personnel before starting as soon as possible. This means that pay will be free of agency fees because Teaching Personnel use no umbrella company.

The successful Teaching Assistant will work with a Year 5 pupil with SLCN, supporting them in their classwork and in their day-to-day. This student has no exceptional behavioural needs but can get frustrated with their work. Their teacher believes that extra support in the form of a calming presence will drastically improve this child's attainment and progress. This provides an opportunity to make a huge difference in a child's life and perpetuate a cohesive classroom environment.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
