Classroom Assistant - Salford

Do you have experience working with children and young people? Are you looking for a Classroom Assistant role?

Teaching Personnel are working alongside a large Secondary school in Salford aiding them in recruiting Classroom Assistants for after the Easter break.

Our client school is located in the Eccles are of Salford and can be accessed from all surrounding areas of Greater Manchester. For candidates who do not have their own transportation, there are several links to public transportation from central Manchester and the areas surrounding Manchester such as Worsley, Swinton and Walkden.

* Full-time and part-time Classroom Assistants required from April 2023 until the end of the academic year, with the possibility of this being extended.
* Opportunity to work in a large Secondary School.
* Working alongside class teachers supporting students aged 11-16 in classes.
* Providing tuition and small group interventions to pupils ranging in ability.
* Opportunity to cover full classes with the support of class teachers.
* Gain experience in a classroom setting.
* Earn up to �380 per week, depending upon previous experience.

As a Classroom Assistant within our client school, responsibilities will include:

* Working alongside children who require additional support with the possibilities of some students displaying challenging behaviour or having learning difficulties.
* Working 1:1 with identified pupils that require additional support within subjects such as English, Maths or Science.
* Supporting the class teacher alongside monitoring pupils' progress.
* Helping to plan and deliver intervention sessions to raise pupil attainment.
* Promoting positive behaviour management.

With over 1000 pupils, the school is in need of extra staff to guarantee students are supported and that teachers also have the help they require in the classroom. To be considered for this role experience working within a educational setting with children and young people is desirable alongside experience in English, Maths or Science .

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
