Specialist Support Teaching Assistant

* Full-time position (Monday - Friday, 8:50am- 3:20pm)
* Start date: ASAP till July 2023

The role

As an SEN teaching assistant, you will be required to support children of a mixture of ages from year 1-6 who are diagnosed with autism. The classes you will be working in have a variety of needs where challenging circumstances issues will arise. It is essential that a calm and professional manner must be maintained. Your priority will be learning and understanding the pupils individuals needs when working on a 1:1 basis following their EHC plan. Previous SEN experience is essential however the school are open to this being in a personal or professional capacity therefore no in school experience is necessary. It will be in your best interest to be aware of all policies prior to starting the role and the school are keen to complete induction/ transition days when the successful applicants starts.
