It's exciting times at Paradigm Housing Group as we expand our Property team by recruiting more tradespeople to support us to deliver excellent services to customers. This Fleet Manager role will work with the rest of the fleet team to provide a seamless service and keep our fleet on the road.
About the role: This is a brand-new role which comes with the exciting opportunity to grow and shape the function in line with the objectives of the team. Due to the expansion of our Property team, we are acquiring an additional vehicles, taking our total fleet to circa 200.
We currently have a Fleet Coordinator and a Senior FC, who do a fantastic job of supporting our Technicians and their delivery by keeping them on the road. This role is to provide additional support and direction in this and to lead on various projects such as our work toward the Van Excellence award.
About you: You'll have some fantastic fleet experience and know that great communication skills are key to providing the best service. You'll work with the existing team, managers in the Property directorate and Technicians to manage all aspects of our commercial fleet. You'll also work with grey fleet drivers to ensure we have the necessary documentation in place.
We've got some significant procurements coming up such as our fuel cards which you will lead on. With over £500,000 spend per year, this is a significant project where we hope to realise some savings and improve the service we receive. There will also be contractor management with regard to our fleet suppliers such as our leasing company.
Our vehicles are the most significant part of our carbon footprint. You'll work with our Environmental and Sustainability Manager to find ways to reduce this and ensure we are considering sustainability in planning and the decision we are making.
