SCIENCE TECHNICIAN

Secondary school based in Chepstow

Are you looking for a role in the Science department? A school Chepstow are seeking a Science Technician to join them on a full-time basis. The school are looking for an experienced Science technician to work full-time Monday to Friday.

The role will report to the curriculum lead and involve working closely with Science teachers to help with the preparation and maintenance of resources and equipment, ensuring strict safety procedures and checks to maintain a safe working environment and working with students in the classroom. We are looking for someone who has knowledge of the Science curriculum and ideally someone who has experience working with children.

The schools are a large mixed comprehensive school, with 1,100 students, including 300 in the Sixth Form. The school has an academy status and was rated 'Good' by OfSTED in Jan 2018. The schools ethos is "We are committed to an excellent quality of education, exceptional behaviour for learning and a desire to create confident global citizens" and the school ensures that all members of staff share the same values.

* This role is until summer in the first instance however is likely to go onto a temp to perm contract

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
