"Due to a member of staff due to go on maternity leave at the beginning of the new academic year, we seek to appoint an English teacher ahead of September. Our department is made up of 5 other members of staff and we welcome applications from experienced English teachers or ECT's looking to secure their first post. Pupil behaviour in school is exemplary and regular CPD/ECT induction support will be available to any English teacher wishing to join our school." Head of English

Found in central Rochdale, a short drive from the M62 the school is easily accessible from the surrounding areas and has regular public transport links. Serving an ethnically diverse catchment area, there are an average number of EAL pupils on roll in which specialist teaching assistants offer additional support to individual pupils. The successful applicant will need to be fully committed to all departmental responsibilities, including following schemes of work, regular training and development opportunities and half termly parents evenings.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
