Learning Support Assistant

Monday-Friday (term time only)

The school is a mainstream secondary school aim to provide their students with a curriculum which is differentiated and accessible to all, regardless of ability or educational needs. They recognise that many of their students will need a little extra help at some point in their school life and that some will require more specific help from our Student Support Department.

Approximately 15% of students are recorded as having special educational needs and/or disability. They provide targeted support for students both individually and within specific intervention groups and are committed to providing the most appropriate level of support possible.

The Suitable Learning Support Assistant would need:

* An ability to establish positive and effective working relationships with students and colleagues.
* The capacity to develop an in-depth understanding of student's needs, in order to support them with effective approaches to learning and development.
* Commitment to participate fully in all areas of school life.
* Commitment to undertake additional training to support student needs.
* Willingness and engagement with educational research.
* An ability to adapt practise and contribute towards the extensive SEND vision

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
