Teaching Personnel are pleased to present an exciting opportunity to work in one of our excellent client schools in Macclesfield as a Graduate teaching assistant. This role is set to start immediately until the end of the academic year, however permanent positions may be available for the right candidate.

Our client schools are looking for an ambitious psychology graduate who is knowledgeable in Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Social, Emotional and Mental health (SEMH). Your main role will be to assist the classroom teacher during everyday classroom routines and support students who require additional in-classroom assistance.

Key responsibilities of this role:

* Collaborating with the teacher to manage and prepare resources for lessons.
* Working with pupils who have additional learning needs and ensuring the delivery of learning programmes and ILPs.
* Adjusting learning materials to target students individual learning needs.
* Implementing effective behaviour management strategies to ensure that students remain on task.
* Providing regular feedback on progress and achievement.
* Supervise children in the classroom and outdoors, ensuring that the environment is safe and controlled.
* Assisting the teacher and pupils on educational visits.

The successful candidate will be competent in establishing strong professional relationships with staff and students and positively contribute to the overall ethos of the school through promoting independence and a love for learning. As a Graduate Teaching Assistant at the school, you will be responsible for ensuring the safeguarding of all students and be aware of all child protection policies and procedures.

* �1540 - �1800 per month dependent on experience.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
