Cover Supervisor needed at a Secondary School in Manchester City Centre
Teaching Personnel are looking to recruit for a Cover Supervisor to work at a secondary school in Manchester City Centre. The successful candidate would ideally be required to start as soon as possible, but due to the reactive nature of the vacancy, could start after the Summer holiday, in September 2023. This role will initially be required until December 2023, with potential to extend to July 2024.
The school is situated in the South Central Manchester, in Levenshulme, and is easy to commute to via public transport as there are bus stops within a 10-minute walk of the school which go in and out of South Manchester. Someone with access to a vehicle would also have access to a large and secure staff car park.

The role itself involves working closely with all school departments and covering lessons for KS3 students, where a teacher is absent or away on a trip. It is essential that applicants have previous experience working with students, in addition all resources are provided so you would not need to take on any planning and marking responsibilities. Applicants will also need to have the ability to build strong relationships and connect with students from various backgrounds, in a short space of time.
Further requirements:
- Experience working with secondary school students would be ideal
- Outgoing with the ability to build relationships with students
- Good behavioural management and clear communication skills
- Ability to start and hit the ground running (some level of flexibility)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
