Science Teacher

An SEN Provision in Darwen is looking for a full-time Science Teacher to start in the new academic year. The school have commented that they would be open to an ECT as well as experienced teachers however they have said they would need specialist Science knowledge to be successful.

The school

The school caters for boys and girls aged 11 - 16 with Generic Learning Difficulties, MLD, Autism and SEMH. The school are looking for a teacher who is energetic and open to a new challenge, as no two days are the same. The Headteacher has commented that they are looking for a positive role model within school who can engage pupils as well as support progression for the pupils; academically, socially and emotionally. The school anticipate new pupils starting in school therefore there also may be opportunities for support staff within this provision. Class sizes vary between generally 6-8 pupils and having individuals who are keen to commit to the school is key to the Senior Leadership Team.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
