Teaching Personnel are currently working with a Special Needs school who are in search of Learning Support Assistants. The school provides specialist education to their students who have a range of needs including Autism (ASC), Aspergers Syndrome, Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), Specific Learning Difficulties (SpLD). Additionally some of the students have medical conditions such as Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). The right candidate would have the skills and experience to work with children/ young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
Responsibilities:
* Provide one-to-one support to students with SEN
* Assist teachers in delivering lessons that are tailored to meet the individual needs of each student
* Monitor and track student progress and provide feedback to teachers
* Help to create a safe and positive learning environment for all students
Requirements:
* Experience working with children/adults with additional needs or similar (preferred)
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* A patient, caring and positive attitude.
* The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
* A willingness to learn and develop new skills.
* Have or willing to Apply for a child Enhanced DBS
