Are you graduating with a Psychology degree this year?

Teaching Personnel are looking for Psychology graduates to take on support roles in SEMH schools in Bolton starting in September. These schools work with students who are outside of mainstream schools for various reasons related to social, emotional and mental health needs.

This role will use knowledge about different behaviour and mental health needs that you will have been taught within your degree, and will give you useful experience for a career related to your degree subject.

Within this role you will:

- Work with small groups of secondary aged students to support them with their work and focus within the classroom

- Help teachers and other members of staff with de-escalation of challenging behaviour and students in crisis

- Work with students to improve their knowledge of subjects and help them to progress

- Provide feedback in line with EHCPs

- Support students on a 1:1 or 1:2 basis with work they are struggling with

These roles will be full-time and within school hours. You must be available to cover this and must let Teaching Personnel know in advance any dates that you are unable to do.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
