Shirley Parsons have exclusively partnered with a leading global professional services firm who have an opening for a Building and Fire Safety Consultant. The post holder will be responsible for undertaking a wide range of building safety case surveys and reports for high rise residential buildings in accordance with the Building Safety Act 2022. This opportunity is home based and will suit candidates residing in and around London, the Southeast and the Midlands, with the ability to travel to client sites.

The Building and Fire Safety Consultant will be responsible for:

* Reviewing client's documentation of their existing Safety Management System and identify if suitable to support a building safety case.
* Preparation of gap analysis reports and subsequent development of health and safety and fire safety management systems.
* Carrying out compartmentation and fire door surveys and type 1-4 fire risk assessments.
* Keeping up to date with current legislation and advising clients on compliance requirements.

The ideal Building and Fire Safety Consultant requires:

* Strong background in health & safety management systems, and fire safety for residential properties.
* Experience carrying out fire risk assessments for complex high rise residential buildings.
* Strong technical experience in compartmentation surveys and fire door inspections.
* Membership with IOSH and/or IFSM and holding relevant qualifications.
