We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced individual to join our team as Café Manager at one of our Government Defence contracts which delivers catering and food service facilities to the Armed Forces.  What we are OfferingSalary up to £27,000, depending on experience.Eligible for flexible benefits.12 month fixed term contract.Working Monday to Friday with occasional weekend work possible.Please view our attached benefits guide to see everything we have to offer. Your Role as a Café ManagerAs a Café Manager at Worthy Down you will maintain high standards of service, fostering positive relationships with clients and customers, and ensuring the efficient operation of the café. Key duties include personal development through ongoing training, attending meetings to stay informed and engaged, and discussing job performance and objectives during Aspire sessions.Maintaining professionalism always is paramount, along with caring for company equipment and ensuring security protocols are followed diligently. The café manager is also responsible for overseeing meal provision and catering services according to established standards, as well as compiling and executing an annual business plan in collaboration with management.You will have responsibility for;4 team members AccountsPayrollHealth and SafetyStaff trainingStock ControlFurthermore, the manager actively seeks opportunities for business growth, handles customer feedback promptly and effectively, and addresses incidents or irregularities as they arise. Collaboration with other department managers, adherence to health and safety standards, and participation in employee engagement activities are also integral parts of the role. Continuous learning and development, both in soft FM services and military systems if applicable, are encouraged to fulfil the diverse demands of the position.Please see the attached job description for a more detailed list of the main responsibilities. The Ideal CandidateEssential: Management experience in soft FM services.Proficiency in communication and numerical tasks.Knowledge of health & safety and food safety regulations.Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).Attention to detail and adherence to standards.Analytical problem-solving skills with the ability to make independent decisions.Desirable Skills/Competencies:Familiarity with military environments.Health and safety certification equivalent to IOSH managing safely.Technical skills in soft FM services (contract catering, hospitality, retail, cleaning).Whilst the ideal candidate would fit into the above points, we would implore applicants with the relevant transferrable skills to apply for this role, as you may still be a great fit! Why Join Us?At Sodexo, our purpose is to create a better everyday for everyone to build a better life for all.
