We have an exciting new opportunity for a Depot Supervisor to join our established depot in Lesmahagow.Working Monday to Friday you’ll supervise a team of operators to carry out a variety of tasks in the depot as well as carry out your own daily duties. Working hours are 7am-5pm with two 30 minute breaks throughout the day. Occasional overtime may also be available at weekends.A full UK driving licence is required for this role as you may be required to drive company vehicles. Ideal candidates will also have a Fork lift truck/Telehandler ticket or be willing to undergo training for this.Key ResponsibilitiesIn this hands-on role you’ll work alongside the operators throughout the day, monitoring and giving instruction as to what tasks are required. This includes :-Daily briefing, planning, adhering to and applying safety regulationsLiaising with and implementing operations from managementBasic office and administration dutiesOperating a fork lift truck and shunting HGV’s, or willing to learn as this is a mandatory requirement for general dutiesTaking responsibility for security and safety of the depot and filling in when management is absentCustomer service - dealing directly with suppliers and work colleaguesWhat We’re Looking ForPrevious supervisory experience within a similar roleKnowledge of the hire and construction industry or familiar with trackway and rail productsWilling to work in all weathersA positive attitude to the workload and schedules and work well under pressureWilling to undergo any training that may be requestedGood understanding of Microsoft packages, eg.
