What is the job role?Broad Park House is a residential short break home for young people with a learning disability and additional needs. We are looking for a cook to join our team to prepare, produce and present good quality healthy meals for our young people.

You would be required to cook for a maximum of 8 people per day, this may include young people with dietary/cultural requirements. Part of your role would be to order, store, budget, and prepare what meals are required for the home and the young people who spend their short break with us.

You would need to be able to work evenings and weekends, on a fortnightly rota, which would have a work pattern of 7 days working then 7 days off.  This role is 19.25 hours per week.

This post is exempted under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and as such appointment to this post will be conditional upon the receipt of a satisfactory response to a check of police records via Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
Who are we looking for?We are looking for a friendly team player who will provide the appropriate support for our service.

You will need to demonstrate and give examples of cooking for a larger group of people and discussing dietary and cultural issues within your role as a cook. You will be expected to undertake all relevant training relating to the home.
