What is the job role?Teaching Assistant

32.5 hours per week.  Monday - Friday.  Term Time Only (39 Weeks)

Permanent - working pattern to be agreed at interview

The Headteacher and Governing Body at Moat House Primary School are looking to recruit an experienced and motivated Teaching Assistant to join our friendly and dedicated team. 

You will support the class teacher and work with the children in the classroom, to help them access teaching and learning and achieve their full potential, this may include working with small groups of children under the guidance of the class teacher. You should have good literacy and numeracy skills and a good level of knowledge and understanding of SEND and experience of working with children with a range of needs.

In addition to the typical TA responsibilities, this position will also involve on a day to day basis, assisting our Learning Mentor in their role as attendance lead. Under their guidance, this will include supporting the children who attend our Breakfast Club, greeting children that may be late to school, carrying out home visits with the Learning Mentor and working with targeted children and families to improve attendance and help overcome any barriers.
