Astute’s Renewables team is working with an established business who run and operate a portfolio of anaerobic digestion plants. They are looking to recruit Plant Manager for their site in North Kent.
The Plant Manager plays a vital part in ensuring the site is running at its optimal level and ensuring high standards of health & safety are maintained. The role comes with a salary of up to �50,000 and an excellent benefits package.

Responsibilities and duties
Reporting to the Area Manager, you will:
* Run the anaerobic digestion plant/site on a day to day basis
* Lead a small team of Operators and Weighbridge personnel
* Lead continuous process improvement projects on site
* Understand, lead and contribute to the ongoing execution of the business strategy
* Maintain compliance with the EA, the National Grid and all regulatory bodies
* Maintain a high standard of site health and safety and instil positive attitude across the site, leading from the front
* Assisting with the day to day operations on site, including running the plant via the SCADA system and assisting with maintenance activities where necessary
* Being accountable and responsible for the site P&L and ensuring staff are meeting KPIs
* Having an active input in writing and reviewing RAMS
* Recruiting, training and mentoring staff
* Working with the senior team in both personal and site development
* Delivering production on budget for the plant, working with the internal finance team to assist with financial control
* Attending call outs when necessary
* Other duties as required
Professional qualifications
We are looking for someone with the following:
* Qualification in a relevant engineering discipline, such as chemical or mechanical is an advantage
* WAMITAB AD is hugely desirable
* IOSH/NEBOSH is an advantage
* Mobile Plant (telehandler, loading shovel) licence or time served experience
* A valid UK driving Licence
Personal skills
The role would suit someone who is:
* Experienced in AD at a managerial or supervisory level
* Hands on and leads by example
* Excellent computer literacy
* A mentality towards a continuous improvement and a genuine passion for the industry

* A salary of �40,000 - �50,000 depending on experience
