adi Lean Manufacturing and Design; Sales Application Engineer
About the Role
As a Sales Application Engineer, you will front the sales activities for the Lean Manufacturing and Design division, and aid in compiling technical quotations to clients. Lead sales activities in finding new project enquiries from our existing client base and potential new clients.
Specifically, you will be responsible for:
* Leading the sales activities for the company's products.
* Field based sales nationwide.
* Business to business sales, developing relationships, managing accounts.
* Developing appropriate internal and external sales channels, relating to products and territories.
* Visiting customers, presenting the complete company product range, and attending business opportunity meetings when required.
* Representing the company and attending exhibitions where possible to increase sales activity and gather market intelligence.
* Analyse and feedback market, product, or competitor intelligence.
* Participating in regular sales reviews, weekly engineering reviews and liaising with the Marketing department as required
* Compiling Contract Files, checking customer data and specifications with the project team.
* Compiling contract files to requires deadlines and quality standards.
* Dealing with contract variations.
* Compiling of sales visits / enquiry reports.
* Compiling enquiries risk assessments prior to tender submission.
* Reporting progress, managing risks and responding to issues.
* Building & developing strong client relationships.
About You
We would like to hear from you if you have :
* Previous experience working as a Business Development Manager, Sales Applications Engineer or Technical Sales Engineer.
* Must have experience in either machine builds (automation) or jig and fixtures sales / manufacturing
* Work experience in automotive industry an advantage.
* Preferred work experience within Automotive First Tier Suppliers.
* Understanding of automation systems.
* Brief knowledge of design software packages SolidWorks, Catia or Autocad.
* Good knowledge of Microsoft office suite.
* Ability to work in a small team.
