The Dean Close Foundation are looking to appoint a new Carpenter to join our Maintenance Team. This role is 40 hours per week and is a fixed term contract for a year.The purpose of this role is to undertake repairs and maintenance tasks across all Dean Close Foundation sites. Dean Close School is a thriving independent, co-educational day and boarding school set on a beautiful 50-acre site on the edge of Cheltenham.The successful candidate will have good cross trade knowledge and be able to work independently across a wide range of duties to provide timely repairs and maintenance within a safe working environment.Other roles and responsibilities include: Carry out repairs or replacements to fire doors, sash windows, service doors and window locks, to include setting codes. Construct, repair & install building frameworks and other fixtures and fittings. Assist with projects which require carpentry input. Assess jobs, obtain quotes for materials for delivery. Create the design or specification for carpentry work themselves.
