We are currently looking for a Customer Interaction Agent to join our friendly team at Tarmac Hendy site in Miskin, Rhondda Cynon Taf, Wales.  Office based, this role is commutable from Pontyclun, Penarth, Cardiff, Barry, Bridgend, Port Talbot, Maesteg, Merthyr Tydfil, Cwmbran, Newport and the surrounding areas.

Main ResponsibilitiesReporting to the Customer Service Supervisor the role of Customer Interaction Agent will be the initial point of contact for customers who are looking to place orders for our various building material products.

Your role as a Customer Interaction Agent will include:


Responsibility for customer enquiries via telephone, online and email orders from initial contact through to delivery
Providing customers with an excellent customer service experience
Completing data entry and order processing tasks
Collaborating within the team to clarify facts, exchange information and resolve queries
Inputting accurate customer data into the CRM system
Building relationships with key stakeholders
Working closely with the Fleet and Capacity Planners to ascertain transport and material availability

The Ideal CandidateThe ideal candidate for the role of Customer Interaction Agent will have proven customer service experience gained within a manufacturing or production environment or similar role, engaging with stakeholders.

Suitable candidates for the role of Customer Interaction Agent will have:


First class customer service and communication skills
Ability to deal with stakeholders at all levels both internally and externally
Confident telephone manner
Proven attention to detail
Positive ‘can-do’ attitude
An approachable and engaging manner
Tenacity and resilience when working under pressure
Flexible and adaptable approach to work
A desire to grow and be successful
Confidence in the use of IT systems including MS Word and Excel
Experience of Salesforce CRM (advantageous)

Whilst customer service experience is preferred for this role, the most important qualities for candidates are confidence, willingness to learn and a positive attitude to work. Success in this job may result in the chance for career progression into other roles.
