ArrowXL is now recruiting for Gatehouse Administrators to join our supportive team, situated at our Wigan site working the Night Shift. You will be working with ArrowXL’s warehouse and planning teams to manage the daily trailer collection schedules and control vehicle movements onto and around the site. In addition, you will ensure the network hits all agreed client collection and carousel trunking times

Package DescriptionAdditional Information


Basic hourly rate of £11.44 (plus any applicable shift allowances)
40 hours per week
Working hours: 17:45 – 06:15 (Night Shift) on a 4 on 3 off / 3 on 4 off rolling 2 week shift pattern

Main ResponsibilitiesWith support and guidance from the team, your role will include:


Working with the Warehouse Operations and Network Controllers to ensure loading and delivery schedules are met daily
Providing accurate routing information to ensure that delivery times and locations are coordinated
Communicating with drivers, subcontractors, managers & key personnel, on site and on the phone
Working with Network Controllers ensuring MTT fleet & all trailers are stood down for PMI & defect repairs as and when required
Working with the warehouse teams to ensure trailer flow on site
Allocating and managing paperwork for inbound & outbound drivers and loads
Ensure yard bookings pages are always accurate and up to date
Work closely with the trailer shunters
Ensuring security and seal checks are managed for all vehicles

The Ideal CandidateThe ideal candidate will be an experienced administrator; however full training will be provided. You must also meet our essential requirements below:


Traffic management within a busy traffic office experience
Team player
Strong communication skills
Strong time management skills with the ability to manage conflicting priorities
Strong eye for detail
The ability to adapt quickly to new scenarios
Able to act in a professional manner to the benefit of the company and always maintain confidentiality
Experience of Transport Management systems
Excellent MS Office skills (especially Excel)
Excellent geographic knowledge of the UK
Knowledge of Driving regulations for LGV, Working Time Directive, Driving Hours etc.
