Astute’s Renewables team is partnering with a renowned company in the renewable energy sector that provide specialist services and expertise across utility scale solar. Together we are recruiting a Field Services Operative, ideally located in the Sommerset/ Devon location.

Responsibilities and duties
Reporting to the Head of Field Services you will:
* Perform transportation and operation of the mobile test laboratory to carry out module health-checks across assets.
* Conduct in-situ Electroluminescence tripod systems operation for EL image gathering.
* Serial number scanning, utilising software applications and assisting with engineering reports.
* Carry out testing and inspections as required across assets.
* Engage in component exchange assignments.
Professional qualifications
We are looking for someone with the following:
* CSCS card.
* SMSTS or IOSH H&S qualification.
* Any experience in thermography (IR), understanding of solar (DC) or drone operation would be advantageous.
Personal skills
The Field Services Operative role would suit someone who is:
* Experience in towing/ Comfortable in towing, hitching up trailers, mobile generator operation, test equipment care & maintenance.
* Flexible to work occasional night shifts for the in-situ EL testing.
* Awareness and understanding of Solar PV.
* Flexible to work periods of time away from home.
