Mechanical Maintenance Engineer / Field Service Engineer – Generators and Compressors - Leicester and Coventry area - Monday to Friday – 8.00-17:00 – 42 hours per week plus overtime

We have a fantastic opportunity for someone who is commutable to the Leicester and Coventry area.

Covering multiple sites across a geographical patch you be responsible for the maintenance and repair of our generators ranging from 20 – 1400 kva and a number of these machines are fitted with telematics and are fully syncable using Comap or Depp sea panels.
Responsibilities:
Travel to our customer sites and carry out planned service maintenance and repair of compressors and generators ranging from 20 – 1400 kva
Fault-finding, replacing parts, effecting repairs and diagnosing mechanical failures
Liaise with external departments and customers
Service, fault find and carry out breakdown repairs
Comply with companies Health and Safety policy

Overtime is paid time and a half and door to door and if the job takes 2 hours you'll be paid 4 hours
You will have use of a Speedy Hire van and fuel card
You’ll receive a call out fee of £20 weekday/weekend

What you’ll need:
Full driving licence
Good knowledge of diesel engines
Mechanically you will be experienced in fault-finding, replacing parts, effecting repairs and diagnosing mechanical failures
Experience of maintaining and repairing the same or similar types of equipment
Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office
Strong communication skills both verbal and written
Able to work alone under pressure and as part of a team
Flexible approach to hours as there is consistent overtime
Ability to support your business unit/team to deliver our ESG Strategy – Decade to Deliver.
