Homes for Ukraine Project Officer37 Hours per week - Fixed term contract to 31 March 25£29,269 to £33,024 per annum This is an exciting opportunity to play your part in supporting Ukrainian nationals who have travelled to Wychavon through the Homes for Ukraine Scheme and their Sponsors. We are looking for a well organised, motivated, and proactive project officer to assist the implementation of the Councils duties, responsibilities, and policies within the Homes for Ukraine Scheme. This will include being the lead officer for numerous projects, updating databases and producing accurate data reports. The successful candidate will enjoy working with people; be able to deal with challenging and complex issues with sensitivity; can handle confidential information with discretion and adapt to changing priorities.You will also be the primary point of contact for all aspects and enquiries about the Homes for Ukraine Scheme and providing appropriate support, information, guidance and advice.About you The successful candidate will have:A good level of numeracy and literacy skillsExcellent communication skills with a strong customer focusProven organisational and project management skillsExperience in customer service, problem solving and handling difficult situations with sensitivity, diplomacy and tactAn understanding of the importance of confidentiality and sensitivity when working with individuals and the ability to handle confidential information with discretionGood ICT skills and experience of managing databases including handling personal data and accurate record keepingExcellent analytical skills and the ability to handle and manage large quantities of data and informationPrevious experience in administration e.g. maintaining records, booking appointments, supporting meetings, report writing and preparing data reportsA sound understanding of the importance of safeguarding children and adults’ proceduresAn understanding of the context of the Homes for Ukraine Scheme and experiences of guests from UkraineExperience of working with people from diverse backgrounds and knowledge of equality and inclusionExperience of working with families or children and young people Flexibility to work within different environments and the ability to adapt to changing priorities To discuss the post or for further information, please call Sarah Hornsey on 07977 946748Closing date: 6 May 2024Interview date: 15 May 2024Please note if we experience a high intake of applications, we may close the role and interview for the position sooner than advertised.
