Main purpose of position
The SCL College Principal will be an inspirational and innovative leader who will drive forward the strategic and operational delivery and management of 16-19 Study Programmes.
Our College Principal will report into our Chief Operating Officer and will lead nationally on our 16-19 Study Programme vocational curriculum, English and maths, learner experience (including learning support, learner services, careers and work experience) and our unique enrichment propositions.
The successful candidate will be the strategic and operational lead for 16-19 education delivery across SCL College, developing a responsive curriculum that meets the needs of our students, employers, partners, and other stakeholders.
Building our teaching, learning and pastoral care strategies and procedures you will lead on the delivery of an outstanding learner experience, with the SCL Way at its heart, enabling positive progression and destinations for our 16-19 students.
Working with your team of Curriculum Leaders you will lead the College’s regional operational departments including all of our education sites across the UK.
This role will also work in close partnership with the Commercial team to ensure that the organisation works only with the highest quality sports clubs, performing arts schools and other organisations to drive forward exceptional education programmes.
You will have extensive experience of senior / executive level leadership of Study Programme delivery within FE and Skills. Due to SCL College’s unique and innovative delivery model, significant experience of successful multi-site leadership will also be required. You will be innovative, a solution focused thinker and will model partnership working through excellent communication skills and an ethos of teamwork.
