Environmental Advisor

�45,000 basic salary + benefits
We are currently working with a leading international defence organisation, who has an opportunity for an Environmental Advisor to join their team.
The Environmental Advisor will be responsible for:
* Support the Sector Environment and Sustainability Manager to develop and deliver Sector strategy and Group commitments.
* Maintain the Environmental Legislation Register and regular legal updates.
* Be the key point of contact for advice and guidance to internal stakeholders on environmental requirements and best practice.
* Work closely with the Procurement & Supply Chain team to determine how we can improve processes aligning to ISO 20400 guidelines, improve waste data and how we can divert waste from landfill.
* Manage the environmental performance of the supply chain, including undertaking supply chain audits and environmental performance reviews.
The Environmental Advisor will have:
* Experience working in a similar role with a track record of positively impact business performance and/or operational role including technical experience.
* Knowledge of Carbon data and Scope 3 carbon emissions.
* Up to date knowledge of changes in environmental regulation and industry standard best practice.
* Auditing experience.
