We are committed to empower people to rebuild their lives and regain independence. The service you will work in….Hestia's RBKC Young People's Service provides housing related support and interventions to 45 service users with a range of issues living in 6 accommodation services across the Borough. The service is for young people aged 16-25 years with housing and support needs. This is your opportunity to be part of an exciting service. You will support the Service Manager and lead the in ​the running of the service, ensuring the delivery of ​ consistent and high-quality supported housing. These young people may be leaving local authority care, be homeless, threatened with homelessness or living in accommodation that is not meeting their identified needs. The service provides ‘step up' or ‘step down' from other supported accommodation, as appropriate. ​​The service is focused on promoting independence and preventing dependency, institutional admission and homelessness. We deliver a person-centred approach enabling choice and control for each individual to realise their potential, increasi
ng service users' ability to manage their tenures, supporting access to training, education and employment, and working closely with other providers of support to the individuals including other professional staff and family members.  ​A day in this role looks like….As a Support Worker at Hestia, you will play a crucial role in our Mental Health and Complex Needs Service. Your contributions will directly influence the lives of our service users, guiding them towards a path of empowerment and independence.A day will never look the same and some of the things you can expect to do/be responsible for are:To deliver housing related support to young people (aged 16- 25 years), to inspire young people using the service to meet their needs and aspirations in education, employment, training or other areas of interest and value to the individual​.​Improve each client's quality of life; prevent homelessness through promoting or maintaining independent living skills and appropriate move on​.​Provide relevant support in accordance to the client's range of needs via support and safety planning and aspirations assessments and through one-to one keywork sessions​.​To maintain accurate service users' records and all other records relating to the upkeep and maintenance of the service. This includes electronic based records on our organisational system​.​To carry out our Housing Management functions including the collection and management of rent, reporting of repairs, managing the beginning and end of tenancies/licences at the schemes​.​Encourage and promote effective multi-agency working to ensure that the risks of services users are mitigated and that the needs and aspirations of service users are met to a high standard, including establishing close contacts with various communities, statutory and voluntary or
