Astute’s Renewables team is partnering with a renewable energy provider with a commitment to professional development and sustainability to recruit a Electrical Maintenance Technician to cover their anaerobic digestion assets in Scotland.

Responsibilities and duties

Reporting to the Maintenance Team Leader you will:

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on the companies assets
• Trouble shoot issues relating to PLC’s and SCADA
• Respond quickly to reactive and emergency maintenance to minimis downtime
• Ensure all maintenance data is entered correctly into the CMMS and complete any other maintenance logs/checks that are required correctly
• Assist and be actively involved with capital projects
• Ensure PAS110 tasks are carried out (where applicable)
• Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Risk Assessments (RA) for all tasks to ensure safe systems of work
• Travel to different sites to provide support
• Other duties as required

Professional qualifications

We are looking for someone with the following:

• HNC in Engineering Practice/Electrical Engineering or modern apprenticeship or N/SVQ level 3 – Electrical ECITB or equivalent qualification with experience
• IOSH is an advantage
• 18th edition is desired
• FLT/Telehandler licence is desired

Personal skills

The Electrical Maintenance Technician role would suit someone who has:

• Intricate knowledge of PLC’s and SCADA
• Knowledge and experience of following SOP’s and RA
• Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal
• A proactive approach
• Ability to multi-task
