A leading premium care group is now looking for an experienced Second Chef to join the team at their luxury home on the outskirts of York.
You will:
* Cover 10h shifts, with no nights required and only alternate weekends.
* Only be dealing with fresh, seasonal ingredients.
* Have the freedom to get creative in a modern and well-equipped kitchen.
* Have the opportunity to influence nutritious new menus and hone your culinary expertise.
Your role will be all about assisting the Head Chef in creating flavoursome and well-balanced dishes whilst working with residents to tailor menus around them.
This is a great chance to prepare food to hotel/restaurant standards without the split shifts and long weeks.
This is a permanent , full-time position split over four days.

Person specification:
* Hold City & Guilds/NVQ/SVQ or equivalent
* Experience of working with fresh seasonal food
* Good understanding of nutrition
* Good understanding of HACCP
* Able to create a warm and welcoming environment within the home
* Personable approach with a genuine interest in the wellbeing of residents
* Confident in engaging with residents to create appetising menus
