As Delivery Manager you are responsible for the delivery of work to retained clients within our Core Delivery Team (CDT); from ad hoc first-line support requests to the delivery of monthly retained services and small standalone projects.In this role you will:Work on retainers and small projectsMaintain client Service Desks.Manage the budgets, timescales, and quality of multiple retainers / small projects.Develop a close working relationship with key roles within the business.Work with the CDT Project Lead to decide which approach should be deployed on each retainer / project including the appropriate use of documentation and controls including but not limited to User Stories and Acceptance Criteria, Project Plans, Wireframes, Technical Specs, Test Plans, Project Reports and Client Action Logs (this list is not exhaustive)Ensure JIRA and Confluence are being utilised in line with our process, that JIRA boards are maintained and that each project has an eazyBI ETC report.Gather requirements, producing briefs, writing user stories and acceptance criteriaEngage with both clients and AMs to brief, plan, and deliver workIdentify obstacles and help the team plan around or overcome themPrioritise work and focus the team on what is most important to achieve a good outcome for our clientsDevelop your skills in and knowledge of project management techniquesYou share our ethos for hard work and great resultsThe Ideal Candidate:Project delivery practices. You can identify and compare processes and delivery methods and have some experience of applying these in practice. You can recognise when something isn’t working and know when to escalate issues.Financial management. You understand the financial impact of the work you do and how costs and budgets are created. You work with the wider team to appropriately scope and cost work. You understand the importance of revenue recognition and work with the delivery team to ensure ETC’s are accurate, properly considered and completed on a weekly basis. You can monitor cost and budget vs. project progress and know how and when to escalate issues.Communication. You can effectively translate and accurately communicate to technical and non-technical stakeholders as well as facilitate discussions within a multi-disciplinary team, with potentially difficult dynamics.Planning. You know the importance of planning and forecasting and the different ways to develop a plan. You know how to communicate plans, assumptions, and progress to stakeholders.Making our process work. You can identify what works best for the delivery team and when to utilise certain processes. You monitor compliance and deal with non-conformance through feedback or escalation.Ownership and initiative. You take ownership of problems and work with the necessary teams or CDT Project Lead to resolve them.Maintaining delivery momentum. You understand the different phases of project delivery and can contribute to, plan, and run these. You can actively address internal risks and issues and know when to escalate them. You know how to track, manage, escalate, and communicate dependencies.Team dynamics and collaboration. You can motivate a team. You can give and receive feedback. You can recognise and deal with issues or escalate when appropriate.
