What is the job role?We have the following permanent vacancy available to start from September 2024.

Cover Supervisor

Whitmore Park is a ‘Good’ 3 form entry School and Nursery with delightful pupils and an enthusiastic and committed staff. The school offers all of their staff fantastic support within a strong programme of professional development. 

We are looking to appoint a Cover Supervisor to work within the school and welcome applications from candidates with relevant experience. We are looking to appoint a person who will share our vision for high quality education for all our children.

The role will be primarily to lead planned learning with individuals/groups/whole classes of pupils in a Teaching Assistant or Teacher’s absence. Please see the job description and person specification for full details.
Who are we looking for?The successful candidate will:


Have experience of working in partnership with class teachers to deliver good and outstanding classroom practice
Have a good understanding of effective learning, good quality feedback to learners and how to support learners to make good progress
Be passionate about teaching and learning and ensuring the best possible outcomes for our children.
Be someone who can inspire and motivate children
Have good subject knowledge and understanding of KS1 and KS2


We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all pupils and expect all staff to share this commitment. An enhanced DBS is needed for this post. Two references will be taken up for all short listed candidates prior to interview or appointment.
