Join a leading High Speed Rail project as a Senior Environment Manager, where you will play a pivotal role in ensuring environmental considerations are seamlessly integrated into project design and construction. This position involves providing expert guidance and support to the Integrated Project Team, focusing on environmental design, construction requirements, and design assurance. We are looking for candidates that have an extensive background in large construction contracts and environmental management.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide expert guidance on environmental design and construction requirements to the Integrated Project Team.
- Lead on design assurance, ensuring environmental issues and constraints are prioritised in construction.
- Manage environmental issues and integrate constraints into project planning and implementation.
- Liaise effectively with stakeholders, influencing and negotiating to meet environmental requirements.
- Ensure compliance with applicable environmental laws, including Construction Design Management (CDM) regulations.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of the regulatory and legislative framework related to environmental management.
- Demonstrate commercial awareness, understanding cost delivery, schedule targets, and the need for integrated solutions meeting all functional requirements.

Essential Qualifications and Experience:

- Extensive experience as a Senior Environment Manager, particularly within large construction contracts.
- Strong knowledge of NEC (New Engineering Contract) and its application in environmental management.
- Proven stakeholder liaison experience with the ability to influence and negotiate effectively.
- Chartered Environmentalist or membership of an appropriate professional institution, or equivalent experience.
- Experience managing multi-disciplinary engineering and environmental standards (including BREEAM) on large, complex building projects within infrastructure delivery programs.
- Proven ability to manage competing project, engineering, and environmental demands with cost and schedule implications.
