Dean Close St. John’s School are looking to a new Teaching assistant to support our growing Pre-Prep classes. This is a part time role, working 30 hours per week during term time, and we would like the successful candidate to start from September 2024.The role and responsibilities of this position are to include: Establish a constructive relationship with pupils and interact with them according to individual needs To support small groups with activities and implement the Early Years Foundation Stage Demonstrate excellent communication to all staff and parents To support teaching staff with their responsibility for the development, care and education of children, including those with learning needs. To motivate pupils and encourage them in their learning To engage actively in the delivery of the educational work programme and activities To supervise the activities of individuals or groups of pupils, to ensure their safety and to facilitate their physical and emotional development To assist teaching staff with preparation for lessonsWith a growing Kindergarten and Reception, we are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated professional who will work collaboratively with the staff team.Early applications are encouraged, and applicants may be invited to interview prior to the closing date.
