Performing Arts Technician in ResidenceSituated on the beautiful Moray Coast in the North of Scotland, Gordonstoun is widely recognised as the world leader in character education.  We have a co-educational community of over 500 students aged from 6-18, who are predominantly full boarding and are drawn from over 40 countries.   We are looking for a talented Performing Arts Technician who is also keen to play an active role in boarding school life, whether in the classroom, in the mountains or in the middle of the Moray Firth. You will be a theatre gradate with technical experience, a proactive approach and a proven track-record of stage management and theatre production. People will recognise you as someone who is conscientious and diligent with excellent attention to detail. You will have experience in editing music and video alongside a broad knowledge of current theatre.All candidates should have a relevant qualification or equivalent professional experience in technical theatre or production arts. Gordonstoun is striving to build a team that is truly inclusive. **Skills Required**

Excellent IT skills, including proficiency in all MS Office applications.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience in supporting the running of productions.
Conscientious and diligent, with excellent attention to detail.

Suitable to work with children
A full PVG check will be completed on the successful candidate or Experience of working with children and
young people

**Qualifications Required**

Relevant qualification (or equivalent professional experience) in Technical Theatre, Stage Management, Theatre
Design or Drama with a design/production specialism to degree level.
Technical expertise in tech elements (lighting/ sound) of theatre craft.
Trained on use of tallescope and able to work at height.
A broad knowledge of current theatre.
Ability to edit music and video.
Knowledge of set texts, practitioners and works delivered by drama, theatre and dance GCSE and A-level
qualifications.
The ability to program theatre lighting desks and ability to do digital sound mixing.
Experience of Qlab
