We're looking for a plant fitter or mechanic that has experience dealing with engines, whether that be someone who has previously worked on the railway, for a tool hire company or in the motor trade.The area covered is West London & Surrey, so you'll ideally already live in or around these regions.Working pattern is Monday to Friday day shifts with no mandatory weekends or nights. You can also be offered overtime during the weeks and nights if it's available.Key ResponsibilitiesCarry out maintenance, service, repair of company and customer assets at customer premisesWork on your own and also as part of a team at customer premises ensuring that the equipment is maintained to manufacturer specifications at all timesComplete company paperwork and ensure safe working practices are observed and followed at all timesEnsure van stock is kept to required level by ordering service and repair parts as neededWhat We're Looking ForTime served Qualified Plant Fitter or MechanicRailway, Motor, Construction or Agricultural experienceFull UK Driving licenseFlexible in working hours and happy to stay away from home occasionallyWorking knowledge of small plant engines such as petrol 2 stroke, 4 stroke and dieselsAble to plan own work load and manage time effectivelyThe successful candidate will be expected to pass a Drug and Alcohol Railway standard medical and undergo PTS safety qualification training.
