THE PIG – and The Village Pub offers guests a classic example of an English country garden that evolves with the seasons including a kitchen garden that will supply the produce found on our 25-mile menu. In addition, The Village Pub will bring together hotel guests and friendly locals. The Village Pub menu will be brimming with nostalgic classics that give a sense of comfort and home-cooked familiarity. We are delighted to be recruiting for Kitchen Porters to join either our hotel or pub brigade.The Role: As Kitchen Porter, you play a vital role with the preparation and function of the kitchen. An ideal role, if you are seeking a role within a kitchen that can develop your skills and offer progression.Responsibilities include but not limited to: Washing plates, cutlery, pots, pans and kitchen utensils.Clean kitchen machinery, ensuring all machinery is operating efficiently.Mop floors and wipe down kitchen stations and surfaces.Ensure sufficient supply of clean stock, ready to use as/when required.Follow hygiene standards, including re-cycling and waste management.Support the kitchen with basic food prep as/when required.Experience as a Kitchen Porter in a busy kitchen is preferred but this is not essential. We will provide all the necessary training required for the role.
