THE PIG – and The Village Pub offers guests a classic example of an English country garden that evolves with the seasons including a kitchen garden that will supply the produce found on our 25-mile menu.We are delighted to start the recruitment for a Night Prep Chef to support our kitchen operation.The Role: This unique kitchen role supports the overall operation of the kitchen. From slicing meats, chopping veg and baking bread as Night Prep Chef you will be responsible for ensuring the kitchen is well stocked and maintain ready for the day ahead.Responsibilities include but not limited to: Preparation of food for the following day. Including the preparation of our breakfast buffet granola’s, breads and meats.Ensuring all food is kept fresh and stored correctly.Handover with the Breakfast Chef, supporting the early breakfast service as/when required.Maintain a clean and organised workspace, meeting hygiene standards.You will need to be committed to night shifts. You will often work alone, so will need to be confident to oversee the running of the kitchen throughout the night. There’s no need to have been to catering college or have a high level of qualifications.
