THE PIG – and The Village Pub offers guests a classic example of an English country garden that evolves with the seasons including a kitchen garden that will supply the produce found on our 25-mile menu.We are delighted to announce the start of our recruitment for THE PIG – and The Village Pub and are seeking for an Assistant Bar Manager to support with our beverage service.The Role:Our bars at THE PIG are unique! We mash, muddle, blend, shake and throw our way to making our guests the perfect drink. All of our cocktails are designed with the kitchen garden in mind. This provides all of the essential ingredients to infuse our locally sourced spirits. Our vodkas are infused by the herbs, flowers and berries from the kitchen garden, bacon is added to our bourbon and caramel to our rum. As Assistant Bar Manager you will be supporting the effective operation of the bar areas by demonstrating your skills and supporting the development of our team.Responsibilities include, but not limited to:Prepare and serve all drinks from our menu, including our classic cocktails.Utilise the produce from our kitchen garden, having an understanding of infusions and locally sources spirits.An understanding of wine is beneficial, working alongside our Sommeliers offering wine as part of our drinks list.Maintain a clean and presentable bar.Demonstrate your skills and impart your knowledge across the team, taking a pro-active approach in developing their skills behind the bar.Have an input and provide suggestions for our drinks menu.Support our Beverage Director with the management bar stock and supplies.Skills & Experience:Experience as an Assistant Bar Manager, or similar is preferred, along with the knowledge of classic cocktails and skills to mix modern twists!
