THE PIG – and The Village Pub offers guests a classic example of an English country garden that evolves with the seasons including a kitchen garden that will supply the produce found on our 25-mile menu.We are delighted to announce the start of our recruitment for THE PIG – and The Village Pub and are seeking for Bar Staff to join our bar team.The Role:Our bars at THE PIG’s are unique! We smash, muddle, blend, shake and throw our way to making our guests the perfect drink. All of our cocktails are designed with the kitchen garden in mind. This provides the essential ingredients to infuse our locally sourced spirits. Our vodkas are infused by the herbs, flowers and berries from the kitchen garden, bacon is added to our bourbon and caramel to our rum. We are looking for Bar Staff that are enthusiastic and keen to learn, as well as having a passion for creating fun yet quality experiences for our guests. Our Bar Staff are responsible for the efficiency of our bar service, by welcoming guests, taking orders and serving our wide range of beverages.Responsibilities include, but not limited to:Take orders and prepare drinks from our menu.Provide a detailed service with a relaxed and informal approach.Utilise our kitchen garden, gaining knowledge of both ingredients from our kitchen garden and produce provided by our local suppliers.Ensure a clean and presentable bar area / lounge.Excellent communication with both the team and guests, having a caring & considered approach in all that you do.Report to and fulfil additional responsibilities assigned by the Beverage Director and/or Assistant Bar Manager.Skills & Experience:Previous experience as Bar Staff in a hotel, bar or similar environment along with a basic drink’s knowledge including classic cocktails is beneficial.
