We are looking for a Quality Inspector to work with CNC Machinists to minimise waiting times and deliver "better than the norm" quality outcomes while driving continuous improvement activities to streamline the quality team's processes and improve efficiency. Proactively contribute to Penta maintaining 90+% OTD.
You will be responsible for coordinating, conducting, and minimising components waiting for first-of- inspection and mentoring machinists to achieve 90+% right-first time first-off inspections. You will coach and mentor machinists to load and run CMM programs for intermediate in-process first-offs.
What we are looking for from our Quality Inspector:
* Experience of the inspection process in busy subcontract Machine Shops or Engineering sector.
* Hands-on expertise and confidence in using all types of traditional measuring equipment.
* Strong communication skills and ability to coach machinists in the inspection process.

Hours of Work: Monday - Thursday: 7.30 am to 5.00 pm, 30-minute lunch break. Friday: 7.30am to 12.30 pm.

Penta Precision is an ISO9001 subcontract machining company, manufacturing components for aerospace, medical, electronics, and scientific equipment manufacturers. We process prototype, low to medium batch production in aluminium, engineering plastics, stainless, and tool steels.
Penta was founded in 1998 by five people (hence the name, Penta). With a heritage in manufacturing production tooling for an international computer manufacturer, the team developed its skills to encompass delivering for the aerospace, marine, and medical industries. Penta gained ship-to-stock status with a major aerospace OEM in 2012, having attained a better than 99% quality performance for two years, and has maintained this standard ever since.
In 2021, Penta started investing in new premises, people, and capital equipment, including fully automated 5-axis machinery.
