Dean Close Foundation are looking to appoint a Physics Technician to join our Science Department from September 2024. This is a full-time role, working 37.5 hours per week over 35 weeks of the year.A dedicated Physics technician is responsible for technical support and for the general provision of equipment. There is a well-stocked central store and preparation room; with each laboratory well equipped with general apparatus. Other roles and responsibilities include: Provide assistance and information in the preparation of resources for practical lessons. Prepare practical’s as requested and appropriate. Assemble and calibrate apparatus. Repair and maintain apparatus where appropriate. Purchase materials. Maintain Physics stores in accordance with relevant H&S guidelines.
