Electrical Maintenance Engineer
The Role
This position is working for a leading manufacturer within a process-based industry who have a strong reputation which reflects on their commitment to quality at all levels from design, manufacture and delivery. They are looking for an electrically biased maintenance engineer, ideally with a 70:30 split, who can work across their 3-shift system. This is very much a reactive role, with planned maintenance also involved.
Electrical Maintenance Engineer
Main Responsibilities
* Fault finding during production.
* Reactive maintenance on the machinery.
* Performing planned and predictive maintenance.
* Assessing need of spare parts.
* Undertake effective planning and prioritisation of workload wherever necessary.
* Ensure that resources are used to optimum effect.
* Understand and operate in line with relevant legislation, Company policy and Company procedures.
* Complete and maintain accurate, timely documentation and records as required by the business.
* Maintain the required standards of housekeeping.
* Support other teams and functions as required by the business.
* Undertake self-development activities as required by the business.
* Contribute to the continuous improvement of processes and practices operated by the Company.
* Liaise with Coordinator to establish requirements.
* Conforming to health and safety procedures and policies.
* Contribute to continuing improvement of the factory equipment and maintenance.
* Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations.
* Work to lean theory.
* Observe and practice the 5S principles.
Electrical Maintenance Engineer
The Candidate
* Must be a time served in Electrical or Electronic Engineering discipline.
* Must be from a manufacturing or process-based background.
* Must be able to fault find on PLCs e.g. Siemens, Allen Bradley.
* Ideally familiar with factory equipment e.g. CNC machines & conveyors.
* Multi skilled in basic mechanical practices.
* Must have at least 5 years post apprenticeship experience.
* Must be experienced in reactive and preventative maintenance.
