We’re looking for a passionate and dedicated Band 6 Team Sister to join our friendly and welcoming Community Nursing team based in Gravesend, North Kent to help us to continue to change things for the better.

Gravesham Community Hospital is located a short distance from St Georges Shopping Centre and is surrounded by well-known food establishments and local coffee shops.

We’ll provide you with access to a committed Learning and Development team, and we work closely with Universities and Health Education England to further your potential and support your progression. We will offer a combination of in house eLearning, workshops and courses to support your development to ensure you meet the correct competencies to become an effective co-worker within the team of the ward environment.

You will also be supported when you first start in your role by managers, colleagues and our TLE department to complete all your training and to show you the ropes of the job! Your learning and development in the role will also be supported through our dedication to regular team meetings to share best practice and weekly one to ones with managers.

The community nursing team works across 7 days per week 08.00 – 20.00.

A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes is essential.

Main ResponsibilitiesAs a Community Nurse you will care for patients and their families in the way that you believe is best, delivering our high service standards, sharing best practice, and actively improving the way we work to help us continue to change things for the better. You will put to use your strong communication and organisation skills, along with a flexible approach, to ensure you deliver positive experiences to patients at every stage of their healthcare journey.
The Ideal CandidateYou will be a NMC/1st level registered Nurse, you will have the ability to work both independently and also as part of a wider multidisciplinary team. It is expected that you should have strong communication and organisation skills and a flexible approach which will ensure you deliver positive experiences to patients at every stage of their healthcare journey.  You will have a full UK driving license with access to a car for work purposes.

You will also need to be confident using IT systems and be able to demonstrate working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages i.e. Outlook, Word, Excel.
