What you’ll do:
Supervise and coordinate the activities of cleaning staff to ensure all laboratory facilities are cleaned and maintained to the highest standards.
Develop and implement cleaning schedules, assigning tasks to cleaning staff based on priority and workload.
Train new cleaning staff on proper cleaning techniques, safety procedures, and use of cleaning equipment and materials.
Conduct regular inspections of laboratory facilities to assess cleanliness and identify areas requiring attention or improvement.
Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations, including proper handling and disposal of hazardous materials.
Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, and coordinate orders as needed.
Address cleaning-related issues or concerns raised by laboratory staff in a timely and efficient manner.
Monitor and evaluate the performance of cleaning staff, providing feedback and support as needed to maintain high standards of performance.
Collaborate with laboratory staff and management to develop and implement policies and procedures related to lab cleanliness and sanitation.
Stay informed about industry best practices and new developments in cleaning techniques, equipment, and products.
What you bring:
. Proven experience in cleaning and janitorial work, with supervisory experience will be an asset
Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, equipment, and materials, as well as safety protocols and regulations.
Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively train, supervise, and motivate a team.
Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Problem-solving skills and ability to handle cleaning-related issues and emergencies effectively.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively with others to achieve common goals.
