Whether you are an experienced teacher or a teacher looking to make their first steps into the profession, we are looking for a dedicated, enthusiastic and reliable person to join our international teaching team in The Hague. Is your English (written and spoken) of a sufficient level to teach students in an international setting? Are you a team player who is looking for an opportunity to further their career?

The aim of our students is to reach VWO level 6 in one academic year (the highest level of secondary school in the Netherlands), and then to progress to English-taught Bachelor's programmes at The Hague University of Applied Sciences. The role

Approximately half of your working week will consist of teaching classes (up till approximately 22 to 26 hours per week) of groups up to 20 to 25 international students. The preparation of your lessons can sometimes be done individually and sometimes as part of a team. As part of the teaching team, you will create, invigilate, and grade credit-bearing examinations. Grading student examination papers is a key feature of this role. You will be required to liaise with your colleagues about the content of your lessons, and the College's management team about the students' progress.

You will also have the opportunity to create and adjust teaching materials for yourself and the other (Mathematics) teachers. You will also be involved in formal and semi-formal observations of lessons, gaining useful feedback to ensure the quality of your teaching remains as high as possible. You will be in regular contact with your colleagues about the content of the lessons and the students' progress.

Given the international context, you will be expected to cater for cultural differences in the group and occasionally participate in activities inside and outside the lessons to help the students integrate.
