The Age Activity Centre is a vibrant centre focused improving people health and wellbeing; and it is open 4 days per week. A day in this role looks like….As a Pool Worker at Hestia, you will play a crucial role in our Mental Health & Complex Needs Service. Your contributions will directly influence the lives of our service users, guiding them towards a path of empowerment and independence.A day will never look the same and some of the things you can expect to do/be responsible for are:Working as part of a team, providing excellent service to our Age Activity Centre members; and supporting practically with all aspects of the service. To work closely with the Team Leader, Service Manager and Tutor and Activities Coordinator to provide a whole team approach to Service Users using the service.Assist in the day to day running of the service, such as supporting with reception / front of house duties, assist with lunch clu
b (i.e. serving food to members), and in answering the telephone and with health and safety tasks.Support the team in carrying out telephone welfare calls to its members.Supporting volunteers, members, and visitors around any queriesTo maintain accurate records of AAC member visits, support provided and any outcomes.To carry out other duties as may be reasonably required by senior staff.Why Hestia?Joining Hestia means more than just a job; it's an opportunity to be part of something bigger. Effectively works as part of a team, values colleagues' opinions, and ideas.The ability to work with people who may display a range of emotions, and which may be experienced as challenging.Knowledge and understanding of safeguarding issues, and the ability to address them appropriately.Takes appropriate steps in empowering Service Users to make choices and take appropriate control for their health to achieve appropriate levels of independence.Demonstrates commitment to co-producing service delivery with Service UsersGood IT skills that include a working knowledge of functions in MS Word, Outlook, and the internet. Ability to use a computer system to accurately.Good literacy and numeracy skills and able to produce clear written correspon
